A used-car marketplace where sellers list their own cars, buyers contact them directly, and no commission is taken on a sale.
Carjio is being built now. It is not open to listings, there is nothing to sign up for, and no cars are for sale on it yet. It will live at carjio.com when it is ready.
What it is meant to do
Selling a used car privately usually means paying somebody for the privilege of being introduced to a buyer. These are the intentions for Carjio, written before it ships rather than claimed after.
The seller lists the car
The person who owns the car writes the listing. Not a dealer standing in for them, and not an agent who has never seen it.
The buyer contacts the seller
Interest goes straight to the person selling the car. No lead is sold on, and no call centre sits in the middle deciding who hears about you.
No commission on a sale
When a car sells, the money is between buyer and seller. Carjio takes no cut of it, because it is not part of the transaction.
The same principle as the rest
Everything this business builds refuses the middleman position. On the software side that means you own your server; here it means nobody taxes your sale.
Where it actually stands
In development. There are no screenshots on this page, because a mocked-up image presented as a working marketplace would be a lie. There are no listing counts and no user figures, because there are none.
The domain carjio.com is held for it and is not serving the marketplace yet, so it is named here rather than linked. When it is live, this page will link to it.
